Screen shot 2010-03-21 at 1.58.59 AMI know I’m going out on a limb with this site. It probably will only connect with a short few of you out there. I know that this site of the week post may only connect with a certain age/gender, but it’s what I got for this week. Sorry.

As a child of the 80’s (technically born int he late 70’s, but my formative years were in the 80’s), I have significant memories of my Nintendo. Don’t get me wrong. I didn’t spend every waking moment sitting in front of the TV. I was an active child involved in sports, playing with friends, building forts in the woods and looking for fires I could play in (I lived outside the city). However, like most young boys of the 80’s, I freaking loved my Nintendo.

So I came across this site a few months ago. From this page, you can play just about any Nintendo game worth playing… for free. Not that I’d probably spend much if any money playing 8-bit video games on my computer, but free is always nice. As I browsed through the list, I recognized so many games I beat, games I rented and games friends and I anguished over to complete. I know this sounds pathetic, but so many memories are connected to these games.

So, if you’re having a stressful week this week, or any other week, hop over to Nintendo8.com and let nostalgia take you back. You’ll have fun, but you’ll also be thankful that the 80’s ended.
