Children’s Ministry #Hashtag adopted
Posted on 03. Feb, 2009 by Kenny in Technology
Looks like we’ve settled on a standard, #kidmin. #CM was a little more convenient, but kinda already taken. Although there seems to be no governing of hashtags, we could have just started using it, but I guess that would be a little bullish. So, #kidmin it is. When twittering tweets specific to Chidlren’s Minsitry, be sure to add #kidmin to the tweet.

I still think #CM should be considered. #KidMin is a whole 4 characters longer! That is a whole word, and that is a lot considering a 140 character limit. It’s not like anyone owns hashtags.
Maybe I’m just a mean cyberspace bully

I agree, I think #CM is a better tag… maybe I’m just not that mean. Perhaps we should build up more of an audience using #kidmin and then transition over to #CM. It’s not really that active. The good point is that as hashtags take on popularity, it will get harder to snag the good (short) ones, so maybe this needs to be considered further.

Hey Kenny,
I just wanted you to know that I am extremely thankful for the hashtag. It’s an awesome tool that is going to do wonders for those of us in Children’s Ministry. Thanks so much for all you do.
